ABOUT NEWSYCLE
Newsycle is an Australian independent news and publishing platform built to put original journalism, verified publishers and direct official-source updates in one place. The aim is simple: make it easier to see what happened, who published it, when it was published and where the original record lives, without forcing readers to rely on a single institution or algorithmic summary.
Newsycle supports two distinct kinds of material. The first is original reporting, analysis, investigations and commentary produced by verified journalists and publications on the platform. The second is source-attributed official coverage: limited information such as a headline, publisher, original publication time and direct link to an organisation's own release.
Those two things are deliberately not presented as the same product. Original Newsycle reporting carries its own author and publication. Official-source cards identify the originating organisation and point readers back to the original material. Newsycle does not treat an organisation's public release as Newsycle journalism simply because it appears in the same reader experience.
The official-source system is designed around attribution and restraint. Newsycle records only the fields supported by the source's applicable permission, licence or other documented basis. Where a source is limited to metadata and links, Newsycle does not reproduce the article body, photographs, logos, video or third-party material. Readers are sent to the organisation's original page for the full release.
Source integrations are checked for the original publisher, canonical link, publication time, reuse conditions and technical reliability. A source can be listed without being treated as an active feed, and a technically reachable page is not automatically considered permission to republish it. Newsycle can also pause or withhold a source while permission or attribution terms are being clarified.
Organisations that want to correct their source details, nominate a preferred feed, set reasonable retrieval limits or discuss attribution can use the publisher information page or contact Newsycle.
Newsycle is independent of the organisations whose public material may appear in the source feed. Attribution does not imply endorsement by the source, and inclusion in the source directory does not give an organisation control over Newsycle's independent editorial conclusions. Advertising, sponsorship and paid promotion are kept separate from editorial judgment and are labelled when they appear.
Our reporting standard is evidence-led. We distinguish verified fact from allegation, analysis and opinion, seek relevant responses to serious adverse claims where practical, and correct established material errors. The full approach is set out in our editorial standards. Readers and organisations can also use the complaints process when a published item needs formal review.
Newsycle's reader experience is intended to be useful before it is addictive. Readers can follow publications and journalists, save stories, manage source choices and move directly to original documents. The platform is being designed around visible attribution and durable timestamps rather than anonymous content aggregation.
Accounts, memberships, creator tools and marketplace features are separate from editorial publication decisions. Personal information is handled under the Privacy Policy and advertising-related storage is described in the Cookie Policy.
Journalists can build a public profile and publish through verified creator access. Organisations can work with Newsycle on official-source attribution and preferred public channels. Readers can follow the people and publishers they trust while still opening the underlying source for themselves.
