Newsycle policies
Community and acceptable-use rules
Newsycle supports independent reporting, criticism, debate and public-interest documentation. These rules address illegality, safety, rights abuse and platform integrity, not mere disagreement with a viewpoint.

1. Child safety and sexual exploitation
Do not create, upload, request, link to, sell or facilitate child sexual exploitation or abuse material, grooming, sexualisation of children, trafficking or any conduct that endangers a child. Apparent documentary or journalistic purpose must still comply with law and use necessary, non-exploitative material.
Newsycle may immediately remove or preserve such material, restrict accounts and report to appropriate authorities or child-safety bodies where required or reasonably necessary. Do not re-share suspected illegal material when reporting it; provide the location and context through the complaint channel.
2. Violence, dangerous conduct and self-harm
Do not make a credible threat, incite or coordinate violence, glorify terrorist or violent extremist acts in a way that recruits or assists, trade in instructions primarily intended to cause serious harm, or use Newsycle to facilitate human exploitation.
News reporting, documentary evidence, counterspeech and recovery-focused discussion may be permitted when context is clear and graphic detail is limited to what the public-interest purpose requires. Content that encourages suicide or self-harm, targets a vulnerable person or provides harmful instructions may be restricted.
3. Harassment, hate and privacy abuse
Do not engage in targeted harassment, unlawful discriminatory abuse, repeated unwanted sexual conduct, coordinated intimidation or publication of private identifying information to cause harm. Strong criticism, satire and disagreement alone are not violations.
Do not share non-consensual intimate imagery, sextortion material, secret sexual recordings or fabricated intimate imagery presented to humiliate or deceive. Do not expose an address, contact detail, identity document, financial credential, medical record or precise location where the disclosure creates an unjustified safety or privacy risk.
4. Authenticity, fraud and manipulation
Do not impersonate another person or organisation, fabricate evidence, falsify identity or verification, conceal sponsorship, run a scam, phish for credentials or knowingly publish a false factual claim for the purpose of deceiving users.
Do not buy, sell or coordinate fake accounts, reviews, follows, votes, clicks, sales, complaints or advertising metrics. Satire, parody, role-play and pseudonyms must not be used to mislead people about material identity, authority or commercial facts.
5. Security, spam and access
Do not access an account, publication, shop, database or API without authority; defeat rate limits or access controls; scrape personal information contrary to law or a technical restriction; introduce malicious code; probe production systems without permission; or interfere with availability.
Do not send spam, abusive bulk messages or deceptive links. Stay within team permissions, protect exported data and report security concerns privately. Good-faith security research must use an authorised process and avoid accessing or retaining other people’s information.
6. Illegal goods and transactions
Do not use content, messages, listings or external links to buy, sell or facilitate prohibited products, stolen property, exploitation, fraud, money laundering or another unlawful transaction.
The Prohibited-products Policy applies to commerce content. Material can be restricted when local illegality, sanctions, export controls or safety obligations make availability unlawful in the relevant place.
7. Public-interest and editorial context
Context matters when material documents wrongdoing, public events, war, abuse, discrimination or another matter of legitimate public interest. Use warnings, redaction, blurring, limited excerpts and source protection where they reduce harm without defeating the reporting purpose.
Public-interest framing is not automatic permission to publish illegal child-abuse material, non-consensual intimate imagery, operational terrorist assistance, private credentials or content prohibited by a court order.
8. Reporting, enforcement and appeal
Use the complaints page to identify the URL, conduct and relevant evidence. Immediate danger should be reported to emergency services. A report does not itself determine the facts.
Newsycle may warn, reduce distribution, require edits, remove material or restrict an account. Severity, context, intent, recurrence, public interest and risk inform the response. Where lawful and practical, material decisions include the reason and a review route. Evasion can lead to further action.
