1. Ownership, permissions and exceptions
Creators and rights holders keep their intellectual property. Newsycle receives only the licences described in the Terms and Publisher Agreement. A link, credit, purchase or public availability does not itself authorise copying or commercial use.
Fair dealing, quotation, reporting of news, criticism, review, parody, satire and other statutory exceptions may apply according to their legal requirements. Newsycle does not assume that every asserted exception is valid or invalid without considering context.
2. Submitting a rights notice
Use the complaints form or published legal contact. Identify the protected work or mark, each Newsycle URL or listing concerned, the nature of the claimed infringement, your authority to act, contact details, relevant evidence and the outcome requested.
State that the notice is accurate to the best of your knowledge and made in good faith. Identify confidential information and do not submit passwords, full payment data or unnecessary identity documents. Newsycle may request proportionate verification through a safer channel.
3. Initial assessment and interim action
Newsycle assesses whether a notice is sufficiently specific, relates to material under its control and raises a credible rights issue. It may preserve records, request clarification, notify the publisher or seller, limit distribution or temporarily disable the material where proportionate.
Urgent or repeated infringement can justify action before a response. Temporary restriction is not a declaration of liability and does not decide ownership.
4. Response and counter-notice
An affected creator or seller may respond with evidence of ownership, licence, consent, statutory exception, mistaken identification or another lawful basis. The response should identify the affected material and explain the requested restoration.
Newsycle may share the substance of a notice and response only as reasonably needed to assess the dispute, subject to privacy, safety, confidential-source and legal constraints. Where the facts or law remain genuinely disputed, the parties may need a court or other competent process.
5. Outcomes and repeat infringement
Newsycle may leave material available, add context, limit distribution, remove or restore it, or restrict an account based on the evidence, law, severity, recurrence and platform risk. It may preserve a hash or record to prevent exact relisting of adjudicated infringing material where lawful.
Repeated or deliberate infringement can result in feature restriction or account termination. A mistaken or isolated allegation is not automatically treated as repeat infringement.
6. Abuse, privacy and other claims
Knowingly false, misleading or abusive notices and counter-notices are prohibited. Parties remain responsible for their own statements. Newsycle may act on misuse of the process.
Copyright is not the correct label for every complaint. Defamation, privacy, impersonation, confidential information, safety and editorial correction concerns should identify the relevant basis so they can be handled under the appropriate policy.
7. Law and external remedies
This is an Australian notice and review process and does not promise an automatic United States DMCA removal or restoration timetable. Valid legal directions are followed. Either party may approach a competent court, tribunal or regulator without completing the internal process.
Use the complaint form, legal email or business correspondence address shown on the page. The correspondence address is not a place to deliver products or unrelated documents without prior arrangement.
