Operator and contact
LOOKSGOOD.AU PTY LTD
The forms create private case records without publishing a personal name, direct email address or residential address.
1. Authority and newsroom roles
A creator must be authorised to act for the publication and provide accurate identity, ownership and contact information. Account access alone does not prove publication authority. Invitations, role changes and removal must use explicit newsroom membership controls.
Owners and administrators must grant least-necessary access, review membership periodically and remove access promptly when a relationship ends. Team members must stay within their role and must not export audience or business information without authority.
A dispute about ownership or authority may require temporary restriction while evidence is assessed. Newsycle does not silently convert historical associations into current ownership.
2. Editorial responsibility
The publication controls its editorial work and remains responsible for claims, contributors, permissions, corrections, conflicts, source protection and legal obligations. Newsycle verification confirms a platform process, not the truth of every statement or absence of every dispute.
Creators must follow the Editorial Standards and Acceptable-use Rules, distinguish fact, allegation, analysis, opinion and advertising, and maintain a practical correction and complaints process.
3. Content ownership and operating licence
Creators retain ownership of submitted content. They grant Newsycle a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, format, cache, transmit, display and make technical backup copies only as reasonably necessary to operate and secure the service, deliver enabled publication features and promote the publication within Newsycle using permitted excerpts, thumbnails and previews.
This licence does not transfer ownership, create exclusivity or authorise sale of the work to train unrelated third-party models. A materially different syndication, licensing or model-training use requires separate permission unless the law independently permits it.
The operating licence ends when content is permanently removed, subject to reasonable backup cycles, legal or dispute records and copies already shared outside Newsycle.
4. Rights, releases and third-party material
The publication must hold the copyright, licence, consent, release and other authority needed for its text, images, recordings, trademarks and personal information. Attribution or linking does not replace permission.
For serious allegations, private information, confidential documents or vulnerable sources, use proportionate verification, minimisation and security. Public-interest reporting can justify publication in some circumstances, but it is not a blanket exception from copyright, privacy, contempt, suppression, defamation or safety law.
5. Audience data and communications
Reader follows, saved stories, Newsycle accounts, publication newsletter subscriptions, marketing permissions and paid memberships are distinct records. A creator receives access only to audience information required for authorised publication functions.
Creators must honour consent, purpose limitation, unsubscribe, access, correction, security and breach obligations. Do not export, sell, scrape or reuse audience information for unrelated marketing, another publication or a third party. Do not send under a different publication identity.
Newsycle may restrict sending where sender authority, consent or unsubscribe compliance is not demonstrated. Raw platform or another publication’s subscriber list is not transferred merely because a creator joins or leaves.
6. Memberships, shops and earnings
Paid memberships, shops, advertising and promotion tools activate only when the relevant identity, policy, payment, tax, safety and operational gates are complete. Displaying an unavailable control does not authorise charges.
Pricing, platform and processing fees, taxes, benefits, renewal, cancellation and payout conditions must be shown before activation. Creators are responsible for their tax, business, consumer, product and record-keeping duties. Provider reserves, refunds, disputes, chargebacks and legal restrictions can affect funds.
Newsycle does not guarantee uninterrupted revenue, discovery, ranking, audience size or sales. Paid placement must be labelled and does not buy editorial endorsement.
7. Portability, backups and exit
Creators should keep their own originals and business records and use available export tools. Newsycle is not the sole archive of a publication. Export availability does not transfer platform security data, another person’s private account information or information the creator was not authorised to receive.
A creator may leave after addressing active subscriptions, orders, disputes, refunds, audience notices and records required by law. Removal of a team member does not transfer that person’s independent rights in authored work.
8. Enforcement and appeal
Newsycle may proportionately restrict publishing, distribution, monetisation, sending or team access for a material breach, safety issue, rights complaint, fraud risk or legal requirement. Serious or urgent risk may require immediate temporary action.
Where lawful and practical, Newsycle identifies the main reason, affected capability and review route. A temporary restriction is not a final legal finding. Creators must preserve relevant evidence and must not use another account to evade the restriction.
9. Responsibility and survival
Each party remains responsible to the extent required by law for its own breach, negligence, unlawful content or misleading conduct. A creator’s obligation concerning third-party claims is limited to loss reasonably arising from the creator’s material breach, infringement or unlawful content and is reduced to the extent Newsycle contributed.
Ending publication access does not cancel existing orders, memberships, refunds, consumer remedies, privacy requests, correction duties or lawful payment obligations. Ownership, limited retained-copy licences, confidentiality, evidence, responsibility and dispute provisions survive where their purpose requires.
